Although elections will be held in 2017, political organizations are already organizing the bases, they form alliances and these grow stronger throughout the country. This weekend it was the turn of the Social Christian Party (PSC) and the Creating Opportunities party (CREO).

The two had massive acts to challenge the ruling party. The meetings had a cry in common: “Out Correa out.”

Guillermo Lasso and Jaime Nebot were the stars of the day. The mayor of Guayaquil, for example, visited Quito to appoint the Social Christian board of Pichincha. There were speeches of nationally renowned leaders and also the presentation of new factions. The creation of the school of political training La Cantera 6 was formally announced.

Santiago Guarderas, head of the PSC in Pichincha, ensured that his work will be focused on the training of leaders so they do not become objects of an autocratic government but thinkers of a better country.

Some protesters refused -with posters and chants- the Guayaquil Mayor’s visit to the capital.

CREO Movement leaderGuillermo Lasso said he does not rule out political dialogues, but said he will favor the family unit.
