The Supercom dismisses a complaint against the state newspaper El Telegrafo

Posted On 17 May 2017

Ecuadornews:

The Superintendency of Communication (Supercom) dismissed the complaint against the government newspaper El Telegrafo, for the alleged media lynching against the former presidential hopeful Guillermo Lasso, filed by Pamela Guerrero and Paolo Vega, of the Federation of University Students, on March 30.

The resolution was issued on May 12, and the Superintendency claims that the complainants “lack active legitimation” and are not “right holders” of Lasso. Anyone who feels affected must assert his right and a “third party can not exercise a very personal right.”(I).
