The Superintendent of Banks, Pedro Solines, formalized his resignation to the President of the Republic, Rafael Correa. Solines indicated that in the coming days he will formalize his resignation to the National Assembly, as provided by law.
Solines explained that his resignation responds to strictly personal reasons. The official would stay in office until the end of the month.
After his resignation, the President shall submit a new panel to the Cpccs for the election. The process will be public and any citizen will be able to challenge the nominees.
