cocinas-de-induccionAbout 20,000 users are registered in the Efficient Cooking Government program, said the Minister of Industries, Ramiro Gonzalez.

Registration for the program began last month and is done by accessing to the web: www.ecuadorcambia.com.

Gonzalez said: “Until last Friday we were told there was like eight thousand kitchens (in the market) and 1200 had been requested, something like that.”

A meeting between the Minister of Electricity, Esteban Albornoz, Ramiro Gonzalez and representatives of the manufacturers is expected today. This meeting will discuss how the kitchens replacement project progresses.
