The inhabitants of the island Santa Cruz, of Galápagos, are directed to be tourist promoters. Twelve people participated in an experiential trip through Plazas Sur and Punta Carrión.
The tour allowed them to learn about the care and protection of the archipelago, motivating them to be tourism promoters, the Ministry of Tourism reported on its website.
It is indicated that the initiative of the private company ‘Embarcación Adriana’ seeks that the Galapagos are promoters of this Ecuadorian destination.
Fausto Rodríguez, promoter of the initiative and specialized guide of the Galapagos National Park, mentioned that through the visits it is sought that the inhabitants of the islands respect their environment and expects other tour operators to join these activities. (I)
