Victor Anchundia: ‘The funds went to other types of investment’
On the Terrabienes case, Superintendent of Companies Victor Anchundia says that for the first time this agency asked a judge to order measures such as the prohibition to transfer assets of the Ortega Trujillo group and prohibit its managers to leave the country.
He explained to daily El Universo that Terrabienes “is a cause-effect relationship, an economic crisis added to an administration perhaps a bit unfortunate……., that the resources were taken to other types of investment.”
“The Superintendency of Companies within its control field, not now but during several financial years, has permanently and constantly revised corporate books, financial statements of many companies that make up the group (Ortega Trujillo).”
Anchundia states that the Superintendency of Companies does not control the stock market “and here comes the error, here and all over the world, control agencies do not ensure investments, they guarantee the information.”
