Worker Rights Commission meets since next week
The Commission on the Rights of Workers and Social Security, which is responsible for preparing the report for the first debate of the draft amendments to the Labour Code and the Social Security Act, will meet next week.
The Vice President of the table, Angel Rivero (AP), said they were notified yesterday and are summoned for Monday from 17:00 to plan the work schedule.
Rivero said they will review the proposals and according to him, before issuing the report, they “can contribute to the reforms.”
“We need to review in which extent we can improve something else, it has to occur as a process of carpentry in the building of this project,” he added.
He also explained that as a team they expect, within the first fifteen days, to convene with the sectors involved to socialize the content of reforms.
“We have no hurry, we are in time; but it is possible for us to submit before the report,” said Rivero, but also explained that if they need more time there is the possibility of requesting an extension.
