Xuxa, “The Queen of Shorties” turned 50

Despite being away from children’s programs, the “Queen of the shorties” still works in the Brazilian television.

In the beginning, Xuxa was model and singer. Later, she became world famous as a showrunner of children’s in their program “El Show de Xuxa” in countries like Brazil, Argentina and Spain, during the decades of the 80s and 90s.

Today, Maria das Graças Meneghel (Mary Grace) presents a musical called Xuxa at the television channel Globo TV every Saturday, aimed more for teenagers and adults, which has recorded a special edition to mark its anniversary and will air on Saturday.

Here celebration, however, has been punctuated by either public attempt to make tapes, recorded 30 years ago, where the showrunner, who also had a notorious affair with Pele, appears with a child that seems to have 13 years.
