Yasser Arafat Would be Exhumed Under Poison Suspicions
Yasser Arafat, one the more influential Palestinian leaders, died without a proper diagnosis by French doctors in 2004. After this event several conspiracy theories arose and now they will open his grave to discover the truth behind his passing.
The image of Arafat had begun to disappear in the last eight years in the Palestinian territories. However last Tuesday (November 20), became the center of attention and a symbol of something that his people see as another crime against them by Israel.
The body of Arafat would be exhumed to determine if he was poisoned with Polonium 210, a radioactive isotope that causes a certain death. The Palestinian official, Mahmoud Labadi, does not doubt that Arafat was poisoned, after a Swedish lab found traces of the radioactive substance in Arafat’s toothbrush and underwear.
Labadi met with an FBI expert of weapons of mass destruction, who said that Polonium 210 has a shelf life of 138. This means that if Arafat was buried in 2004, there would be no evidence of Polonium, but what they could find is a product like lead 206.
