Through a bulletin, the Joint Command of the Armed Forces (Comaco) reported that on Saturday, the 16th, early in the morning, in the Agricultural Laboratories sector, bordering on Colombia, “a military patrol complying with the current regulations, Border control and surveillance, through a military operation to control arms, ammunition and explosives, ordered a blue Toyota brand vehicle to stop, the same one that does not abide by the provisions.”
The statement adds that the driver of the vehicle accelerated to “ram military personnel,” which in this situation “makes progressive use of force in its self-defense.” The vehicle “is fleeing using alternate roads, in the direction of San Lorenzo” and “approximately two hours after the event occurred, the National Police reports on the death of one of its occupants in a health center.” (I)
