13 fugitives from La Roca have been recaptured

At dawn yesterday, during a raid carried out by elements of the Intervention and Rescue Group (GIR) in Manta, Province of Manabi, brothers Jose Adolfo and Ronald Javier Macias Villamar, who had escaped from the prison  known as La Roca located in Guayaquil, along with 16 other criminals, have been finally recaptured.

The brothers, both members of the criminal gang Los Choneros, were inside their parents’ house, northeast of Manta.

With a harsh police operation, at 04:30 am, the brothers were arrested and then taken to the GIR station in the Jaramijo Canton.

Thanks to the recapture of the brothers, there are just five fugitives left to be catched.
