This afternoon, representatives of Chrysler car dealership in Latin America met with delegates from Grupo Noboa in Guayaquil in order to restore their relations and present a new proposal by Ecuador to increase and strengthen the sales of this product nationally.
Eduardo Mayorga, vice president of Chrysler in Latin America and the Caribbean, said that Ecuador is one of the 5 largest markets in Latin America in the automotive industry, surpassing countries like Venezuela. He also noted that although Ecuador has a seemingly stable economy, the sales results in recent years have decreased.
“Grupo Noboa holds the future of our relationship. The distribution agreement expires in June, and are willing to extend it until December,” said Mayorga.
On the other hand, Diogenes Villacís, Vice-president of Grupo Noboa, reaffirmed its commitment to optimize the sales of Chrysler in Ecuador.
“The intention to keep the brand is a fact. Must be fulfilled and period. We will be evaluated. And you will see the numbers and track results through our commitment,” confirmed Villacís.
The strategy to increase the sales in Ecuador is a reconquest plan where a long-term budget will be set for promotion based on a re-launch campaign for Jeep in its 70th anniversary. Then they will focus on the post sale allied to a good marketing
