Until today the stage of citizen objections will work against the aspiring judges of the National Court of Justice.
The Transitional Judicial Council (TJC) announced that a new merit-based and opposition competition to the restructuring justice. Tania Arias, member of the Council, announced yesterday that the process to choose 66 judges is on (they will be responsible for the Family, Women, Children and Adolescents courts) and 35 will go to the new courts that will be operational Contraventions in January 2012 nationwide.
There are 1,828 applicants to fill 101 vacancies, which will undergo a challenge phase, a psychic evaluation and testing of knowledge.
The Transitional Council expects to have the results of the challenges after the holidays of Quito.
