30S: Colonel Cesar Carrion was ceased to functions
Colonel Cesar Carrion, director of the Police Hospital during the events of September 30, 2010 (30S) in Ecuador was ceased to functions by the General Council of the National Police for undermining the prestige and honor of the Police during the 30S events.
The notification of this decision was received by Carrion’s lawyer yesterday morning.
According to the General Council, Colonel Carrion changed his behavior during the riot police on 30 September. That is a causal of Article 54 of the Personnel Act, which talks about the bad behavior of police members that can damage the image of the institution.
In the analysis of the behavior of Carrion it was taken into account the testimony given by the journalist Holguer Guerrero and the government official Iroshima Villalba during the trial against the officer and three policemen for the crime of assassination to the president.
The defense of the now Colonel of Police, in passive service, Cesar Carrion, will give a press conference today to announce, among other things, they will submit of a request for reconsideration of the decision taken by the General Council of the police.
