Ecuadorian youths did not get enough points to enter the quota allocation process of the Leveling System and National Admission managed by the National Secretary of Higher Education, Science Technology and Innovation (Senescyt).

Yesterday, Rene Ramirez the current Senescyt representative explained the advantages of automatic mapping system without human intervention. These figures showed the alarming situation. Of the 89 903 seniors college students who took the National Exam for Higher Education (ENES), 44.8% had not obtained the quota. While 46,279 people did not succeed.

Those who did not get the score may try again on June 18 for a new career at another institution. This governmental system allows each student to choose five careers at different universities, depending on the score they get on the test and the demand that the careers have. Authorities indicated that in this semester 22 819 seats were not used.
