Countries with Policies that Violate Humanity were Condemned by Pope Benedict

This morning, Pope Benedict XVI condemned the policies of certain countries that undermine the traditional family based on marriage between man and woman, and who transgresses against “the very future of humanity.”

“The family based on marriage between a man and a woman (…) is not just a social convention, but the basic unit of every society,” said the pontiff, who was referring to laws in some countries which allow gay marriage or adoption of children by them.

According to the Pontiff, humanity is threatened by the law “not only allows but sometimes even encourages abortion for reasons of convenience, or because of questionable medical reasons.”
