Posted On 17 Apr 2012
To commemorate the 50th anniversary of the death of actress Marilyn Monroe, unpublished pictures of her beauty captured by photographer Philippe Halsman were unveiled.
The pictures taken by the artist are from 1952. They were released in the book ‘Marilyn by Magnum‘, a material that pays homage to American film star.
At the time of the session, Monroe was 26 years old, ten before his tragic death. The material is already on sale in the U.S. and Europe.
The images compiled in the publication were taken by Magnum cooperative, an international renowned agency by Robert Capa, Henri Cartier-Bresson, George Rodger, and David “Chim” Seymour in 1947. (FL)
