Maria Fernanda Pacheco, SUM List 23: Rescueing female House Wives
Mauricio Rodas’s wife is Venezuelan, but identifies herself as an Ecuadorian mother of an Ecuadorian child and therefore, if she becomes first lady, she says she will work on enhancing the functions of INFA (Institute of Children and Family recently transfered by the government into the Ministry of Economic and Social Inclusion) to provide a space for single mothers, wives and grandmothers who were left as Housewives due to the migration and have not been taken into account and are not covered by social insurance, although they count with the bonus that can support them, but does not address their needs directly. She is in favor of continuing the work of the current Vice President Lenin Moreno in the social area.
