“Barcetón”: The Anteroom of the great “Yellow Night”
Hours before the big Yellow Night, is taking place the “Barcetón”, a telethon in benefit of the more representative soccer team in Ecuador and current champions, Barcelona Sporting Club (BSC).
Thanks to the initiative of the club’s leadership, TC Television and Gamatv, plus other sponsors, the “Barcetón” is a pioneering strategy in the sports field for fundraising, it seeks to raise an amount exceeding seven digits, and started last Wednesday.
Donors, -anonymous or not- may show their love and commitment to the yellow club through the donations through savings accounts of banks of Pichincha (2200473858), Pacifico (1041584414), Territorial and Bolivariano. Also transactions through Western Union, RapiPagos and PayPal. Same, from mobile phone recharge points or sending an SMS to 9292*.
This year Barcelona will face the National Championship and two international tournaments, Libertadores and Sudamericana, with a budget deficit of $16 million.
Antonio Noboa, president of Barcelona, said that beyond the overcoming of the $1 million in donations, the “Barcetón” is a project that planned to be the biggest beneficiary epicenter of monetary and economic movements related to the brand Barcelona Sporting Club. The others are the yellow t-shirt and the stadium located in the west of Guayaquil.
Noboa, believes that the strategy this year is to promote the consumption of officials products like t-shirts, shoes and even agendas, which will assure some income to the canary team.
