The number of people affected by rains increases

Members of the police of Progress district, moved yesterday from 04:30 to the neighborhoods La Fortuna and El Arbolito, Posorja parish, which belongs to the canton of Guayaquil, where residents alerted about the overflow of an arm of the Salado sea branch , which flooded 10 houses.

About 30 people were evacuated in boats, including three families who were picked up at their homes, as the water reached approximately 4 meters depth.

In the november 4 neighborhood,  which belongs to the city of Manta, Manabi province, five families were relocated on Tuesday and then moved to Municipal shelters since the heavy rains destroyed their homes.

Meanwhile, in the Julio Moreno part of Santa Elena province , six areas were  flooded, whereas in the parish Colonche 19 sites have been affected, and so far 807  families.
