Uber prepares its entrance to Quito; Cabify takes did it one year before

Uber would “be pleased” to help solve the mobility needs of Quito, said Saulo Passos, director of Corporate Communications for the company in Latin America. Advertising campaigns have burst into social networks but the date when it will start its work in the city has not yet be disclosed.

Cabify offers a car rental service platform with drivers, as stated on its website. And Uber is defined as “a technological platform that allows users to connect with drivers, quickly, safely and efficiently,” according to Passos. None works with taxis. (I)
