Ecuadornews:

The site WikiLeaks said on Thursday, April 4, 2019, that its founder Julian Assange would be expelled in “hours or days” from the Embassy of Ecuador in the United Kingdom. The Foreign Ministry in Quito reacted this afternoon: “Ecuador does not respond to rumors, hypotheses or conjectures that do not have documentary support.”

WikiLeaks said Assange would be expelled from the diplomatic headquarters of Ecuador in London, where he remains asylum from June 19, 2012, with the “pretext” of the complaint called Inapapers, which points to relatives of the president of Ecuador, Lenin Moreno.

Wikilieaks adds that there would be an agreement with the United Kingdom to arrest Assange. The organization founded by Assange argues that if the president of Ecuador, Lenin Moreno wants to illegally terminate the asylum, “the story will not be kind.” Assange arrived at the Ecuadorian Embassy in 2012 after receiving asylum during the regime of Rafael Correa, who pretended that he traveled from London to Quito, to escape an extradition to Sweden whose bases ended up being dismissed.

BREAKING: A high level source within the Ecuadorian state has told @WikiLeaks that Julian Assange will be expelled within “hours to days” using the #INAPapers offshore scandal as a pretext–and that it already has an agreement with the UK for his arrest.https://t.co/adnJph79wq

However, the founder of WikiLeaks stayed at the embassy because British justice issued a warrant for his arrest for violating the terms of his probation. In October 2018, Ecuador set a protocol of coexistence with the Australian Assange, to regulate visits, communications and health at the Embassy in London.

The express request is to comply with the rules of asylum, which contemplate not getting involved in internal affairs of other countries. Assange tried to nullify the protocol, but the Ecuadorian Justice and the Inter-American Commission of Human Rights (IACHR) denied, as inadmissible, the precautionary measures proposed by the asylee.

The WikiLeaks message comes two days after President Lenin Moreno said he had no relationship with his brother’s offshore company ‘Ina Investment Corporation’ and referred to Assange. “Being a person that we have isolated, we have given him the respect he deserves,”

Moreno said on April 2, 2019, in a radio interview in Guayaquil. “We must defend the life of Mr. Assange, but too often it has resulted in his violations of the agreement that we reached with him. It’s not that he cannot talk freely, but he cannot lie or hack into private phones. Nor can he intervene in the politics of friendly countries because he is in Ecuadorian territory and we are responsible for him. ” (I)
