About 970 Ecuadorian farmers have certification to sell their products
The Globalgap Tour 2015 forum was held in Guayaquil, which is a certification of Good Agricultural and Aquaculture Practices, where entrepreneurs of the agribusiness who have placed their expectations in 2016, when they aspire that the trade agreement with the European Union (EU) takes effect.
But in order to sell their products to that destination, they must first comply with rules of good agricultural practices. So far, about 970 farmers have certification.
Hoest Lang, director of quality and sustainability in Globus, said that European consumers prefer products that come from companies that respect the environment, have sustainable crops, have a good use of water, do not use red label pesticides, give a good labor atmosphere to the farmer, among other standards.
