Alcohol sales will be allowed this Sunday

Freddy Ehlers, minister of Tourism, announced the presence of more than one million of tourists in Ecuador for the Carnival holiday.

Ehlers also indicated that this Sunday will be considered as a holiday, which means alcohol will be legally sold.

Homero Arellano, minister of Security Coordination, explained that the security during the celebrations “depends on everyone’s responsibility and on the good citizen behavior.”

Meanwhile, Juan Ruales, national director of Transit, announced “We’ve been communicating with the transport companies to make them aware of the necessary rules in order to avoid accidents we will regret.”  He also indicated the mobilization of 19.000 policemen during the 4 days of the Carnival holiday.
