Alianza Pais Also Submitted Forged Signatures to the CNE

President Rafael Correa, AP leader, had said that his party would not exceed a 4% of irregular signatures.
The Alianza Pais movement (AP for its Spanish acronym) also gave false signatures to the National Electoral Council (CNE).
AP delivered 1.5 million signatures in 2011, of which 46% presented irregularities, ie, the movement handed over 700,000 signatures invalid.
However, President Rafael Correa, AP leader, had said that his party would not exceed a 4% of irregular signatures.
The former congressman, Diego Ordoñez, says that “the denounce of signatures ends up being a boomerang for Correa, now he will have to watch how it comes back because his movement left the margin of error that he set. (MZ)
