All Ecuadorian Schools Will Be Unisex, Announced Correa

The president of Ecuador, Rafael Correa, announced that all public schools of Ecuador will be unisex.

“In century XXI it’s impossible in public education to have schools for women and men separately, it is an anachronism. So my dear Gloria Vidal, Minister of Education, you have to give me a schedule so that absolutely all state schools are unisex in Ecuador,” Correa said.

“There has been political will, budget, but replica of iconic schools has been delayed, institutions of the Millennium, and so on. This has to change or replace or change the Dinse,” the President said.
