Fernando Alonso got his 10th victory with Ferrari, which serves him to place third in the World Championship, nine points behind Sebastian Vettel, who rallied from ninth to fourth, but did not reach the podium. Räikönnen and Hamilton completed the ceremony in which sounded the Spanish anthem.
Alonso jumped from the third to the second place at the exit, where he passed Kimi Räikkönen. From there, it took him only 5 laps to lead the competition.
Finally, Red Bull defensive tactics didn’t result to achieve the podium and after a last stop by Alonso, the third of Seb, to replace the tires as provided by the regulation, both Kimi and Hamilton could have passed the three-time champion, but this was not the case. Despite this, Vettel remains under investigation for going ahead with yellow flags.
