Ambassador of Ecuador presents credentials to the OAS
Ecuadornews:

Carlos Alberto Játiva, the new Permanent Representative of Ecuador to the Organization of American States (OAS), presented on Monday, October 1, letters accrediting him to the hemispheric body before Luis Almagro, Secretary General.
Ambassador Játiva recalled his country’s commitment to the Organization and added that “the OAS has managed to stand the test of time in times when we attend with concern the weakening of multilateralism and mechanisms of consensus in our area; despite the questions we have accused him throughout his history.”
In this line, the official mentioned that it is the duty of the Organization to exercise an enormous responsibility to achieve the objectives outlined in its charter and improve the lot of our peoples, eliminating poverty.
Almagro said that with the contribution of Játiva, the OAS will be strengthened and will successfully face these challenges. (I)
