According to the attorney general, Galo Chiriboga, Bunay testimony is key in the investigations. The former head of Cofiec revealed that a year ago he received a call from Pedro Delgado, president of the Central Bank. In this communication Delgado informed him about the arrival of Argentine investors to expand business in the agricultural sector.
Chiriboga was present at the reception of diligence. “I think the prosecution version delved into many issues that will be important in our research,” while adding that the prosecution is ready for the preliminary trial hearing in the case of alleged title forgery by Delgado.
