Argentina relaxed and ready for the game in Quito

Before traveling to Quito, where they will play the most anticipated game  of the World Cup Brazil 2014 qualifiers against Ecuador, the Argentine soccer team stayed at the Hilton Hotel in Guayaquil, creating great anxiety on their fans who waited for hours to see them, and hopefully, take a photo with their idols.

The team directed by Alejandro Sabella arrived in Guayaquil on Sunday night and yesterday ended with its last training at the Barcelona’s Monumental stadium behind closed doors, without access to the media.

After the day, the players and coaching staff relaxed at the hotel. Many of them enjoy the pool and some share a few “mates” in their rooms.

After a scoreless tie against Colombia, Argentina is looking to get three points to ensure its spot to the next World Cup.

Is still unsure if the main figure, Lionel Messi, will play as headline in this match, after the FC Barcelona player suffered a injury in his right hamstring during a game agaist French PSG on Champions League.

Players who are confirmed not to play this afternoon are Real Madrid striker Gonzalo Higuain, who received a red card in the match against Colombia. Also, the Manchester City defender Pablo Zabaleta, suspended for yellow card accumulation.

Currently, the “Albiceleste” is in the Ecuadorian capital, where it traveled three hours before the game to endure the effects of high altitude in the best way and avoid complications in their players.
