Athletism strengthened the gathering of medals
Ecuador remains in third place in the medals rooster of the Bolivarian Games of Trujillo, Peru; followed by Venezuela and Colombia. In this time it was the day of athletics which yielded better results. Yesterday, in total in various disciplines, the tricolor added 4 gold, 4 silver and 4 bronze to stay in third place with 57 gold medals, 56 silver and 72 bronze.
The gold medals were for Claudia Sofia Cardenas and Henry Danilo Sigchos in taekwondo; Alfredo Campo in BMX. The athletes Alex Quinonez and Angela Tenorio became the fastest in the region by winning the plain 100 m.
The Ecuadorian Ericka Chavez also was in the starting line of the 100 meter dash, along with Tenorio and finished third in 11.78 s set. Celene Cevallos won the bronze in the 400 meters. Diego Camacho won the silver in the 63 kilos of taekwondo; Ericka Saverio with Ivan Vallejo won the silver in bowling; Diogenes Saverio, Mario Lemos and Jose Gaston Zambrano won silver in trios in bowling.
The skater Jorge Bolaños repeated the silver medal, after he did it in the half marathon. In diving, Norka Gabriela Sebando and Rafaela Fernanda Suarez finished in second place in the synchronized platform, 10 meters.
Yesterday began the skills of table tennis and Ecuador, with Alberto Mino, Ivan Proano, Dino Suarez – Aviles and Rodrigo Tapia, reached the third place in team games.
