Atletico Mineiro is the Libertadores Cup champion

Atletico Mineiro earned, last night, its first Copa Libertadores trophy, after defeating Paraguay’s team Olimpia, led by Ever Hugo Almeida, on penalties shot, after winning 2-0 in regulation time and tie the series since they lost in their first match by the same score.
Ronaldinho, the famous Brazilian was the star with his deft moves that made history by becoming the first player in the history of soccer that adds to his successes their World Cup, the European Champions League and the Golden Ball and the Copa Libertadores.
Brazilian teams have won sixteen titles, the Argentine twenty trophies; Uruguayan eight championships, the Paraguayan Olimpia was crowned three times. Other champions include two Colombians (Atletico Nacional in 1989 and Once Caldas in 2004) the Chilean Colo Colo (1991) and Liga de Quito of Ecuador in 2008.
