Attorney Pleads Guilty to Jorge Glas Viejo

Jorge Glas Viejo will go to court

After 18 months of trial for the crime of rape of a minor, the temporary Criminal Judge of Guayas, Franklin Ortiz Ordonez, decided that the defendant, Jorge Heriberto Glas Viejo, went to trial, leading to his decision immediately, the joy of the mother of the girl who denounced former school director Hans Christian Andersen.

The accusatory opinion for trial was read by the morning of Wednesday, March 13, after Miriam Moncayo, presented yesterday her arguments. Despite that the mother of the girl could attend the hearing, she did express satisfaction with the ruling. She said that finally justice is being done and called “capture the rapist of my daughter.”

Then the process will be drawn to one of the criminal courts for the stage trial. It said the court will not be installed without the presence of the accused.

According to United States immigration documents, Glas Viejo tried unsuccessfully to enter the country in October 2011, on a flight from Brazil and using a passport in which he appeared as a German citizen.
