Back injury will not affect Nadal’s calendar

After losing againsStaislast Wawrinka  at the Australia Open final, Rafael Nadal does not expect to miss any match of his calendar by a back injury that affected him on Sunday during the aforementioned match.

After a medical examination in Barcelona, Nadal was diagnosed with a muscle overload in the back. In a statement, the Spanish tennis player said that the prescribed treatment are anti-inflammatories and physiotherapy.

“Next Monday he will go through another medical examination in order to evaluate the progress and see if he can initiate his training progressively,” the statement said.

On February 8, Nadal will participate in the tournament of Buenos Aires as stipulated in his calendar.
