Blond singer Taylor Swift was crowned queen of the Billboard Awards for winning eight awards from the 11 nominations that she had, among them, best country music artist, best song for “We Are Never Getting Back Together” and best album with “Red”, both in the country category.
The Queen of Barbados, Rihanna, as well as Gotye, took home four Billboard awards each, while Justin Bieber won three awards, including best male artist. Nicki Minaj, won her first award as rap artist, while Carly Rae Jepsen won for being the best artist in digital songs.
Swift made the audience dance with a colorful presentation with “22”. Bruno Mars, meanwhile put the sexy touch with his movements and red suit singing “Treasure” and Selena Gomez with her new hit,”Come & Get It“.
Prince received the award for icon artist and Madonna was named the best performer on tours.
