Carlos Santana and Billy Joel awarded in the United States

One of the greatest guitarists in history, Mexican Carlos Santana, along with pop legend Billy Joel, were awarded with The John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts Award, one of the most important distinctions in the United States for a living artist.

Other artists such as soprano Martina Arroyo, actress Shirley Mac-Laine have received this award for their artistic path.

U.S. President Barack Obama highlighted “the diverse group of extraordinary individuals” who proved to be the best of the best.  The ceremony was held last Sunday at the White House before the gala at the Kennedy Center.
