Case Glas Viejo will have an oversight

Due to organization of a rally today, from 11:00, half an hour before the hearing of appeal for the trial called by the defense of Jorge Heriberto Glas Viejo, will include the creation of an oversight.

In this group are Maria Leonor Jimenez, former president of the Court of Guayas, Anunziata Valdez, regional director of the Citizen Participation Corporation and a representative of human rights. Maria Leonor Jimenez, intends to be the link between justice and the public, and that judges do their job. “I understand that for my judicial experience and because I was assigned a degree of honesty I have been invited to participate. With the oversight we would be watching the process and be the link between justice and citizenship, also that the judges of the case feel supported because everything that makes the public view is that public testimony, more if it’s an expert in a oversight,” said Jimenez.

So far the judicial process against Glas Viejo is suspended until the defendant is arrested.

The rally will have the participation of organizations like the Permanent Committee for the Defense of Human Rights and the Centre for the Promotion and Ecuadorian Women’s Action (Cepam). The appointment will be at the Alban Borja, outside the Makro building, which houses the Court, there at 11h30 the Second Board would held the appeal hearing.
