Cesar Fernandez Again Linked to Drugs
Posted On 03 Aug 2012
Yesterday, the Counternarcotics Police arrested the former governor of Manabi, Cesar Fernandez Cevallos, along with eight Ecuadorian and two Colombians.
The detainees are linked to shipments of 115 kilos of cocaine hydrochloride from the port of Guayaquil to Mexico, Spain and the United States.
Fernandez, who was arrested for drug trafficking in 2003 and released in 2010 for good behavior, again repeats this kind of crime.
Fernandez, due his age, has a warrant for domiciliary arrest. (MZ)
