During an interview for a German edition of In Style Men, the controversial actor Charlie Sheen, said he is no longer an addict and assured that that kind of lifestyle that characterized him is over.

“I cannot go on like this.”I have lived for years in the edge. Alcohol, drugs, pills and stress, the full program. I would not be the first person to not survive that life.” he confessed. He added that thanks to this new lifestyle he has more desire to work, to be awake and active.

“I have more energy and I’m looking forward to working more and more now,” said the actor, who is the father of five children.

Sheen, who is promoting his television series ‘Anger Management’, was fired from the series ‘Two and a Half Men’ because of the scandals caused by the excessive consumption of alcohol and drugs.

His real name is Carlos Irwin Estévez and is son of legendary actor Martin Sheen (Ramon Estevez Phelan) who starred in ‘Apocalypse Now’, by Francis Ford Coppola. In the 80´s he starred in ‘Platoon’ (1986) by Oliver Stone. A year later he worked with the same director in ‘Wall Street’. The best paid actor for ‘Anger Management’ will receive $ 100 million for 90 episodes.
