Children’s Day celebrations are carried out in Ecuador

In 1954 the Assembly of the United Nations (UN) made a recommendation to all the countries to establish  a day in order to celebrate the Universal Children’s Day , and since that day, it has been dedicated to reaffirm the rights of the children.

Each country chose a date and a different way for  celebrating it; but its meaning remains the same. For example in Bolivia is celebrated on April 12, in Paraguay on May 31, in Uruguay is August 9, while in Ecuador is celebrated on June 1 with an agenda of activities for all tastes.

09:00 -16:00  The MIES carries out a child festival at the Civic Plaza of the Civic Center of Guayaquil.

09:00 – 16:30 In the Historic Park of  Guayaquil there is an interactive activity with species, traditional games, verses, theatre, storytelling and legends.

11: 00 The House of Ronald McDonald’s will throw  a party for children in the four rooms of the Roberto Gilbert hospital

Tomorrow

09:00 The Municipality of Guayaquil opened, in the hall of the Municipal Library, the exhibition “Kids Corner” of the Municipal Library.

10:00 Children Cinema in the Pedro Carbo salon; and at 13:30 there will be an event at the Jose de la Cuadra theatre of the Plaza Colon.

11:00 300 children from the soccer public schools of the Prefecture of Guayas will travel on the military airplane Hercules C-130 from the Simon Bolivar base.

14: 00 The International Foundation named Maria Luisa Moreno (FIMLM) celebrates 200 children in the parking lot of the Presley Norton Museum, located on 9 de Octubre Avenue and Carchi, Centre of Guayaquil

16:00 In Malecon shopping centre, there will be a show of clowns at the Junin gate and at 18:30, on the terrace, will be a performance of Copito and his Cheercopidance. In halls  C and D a station of painted faces and ballon shapes will entertain the children throughout the day.
