China positions its technology through the Expofair

Expo China 2013 in Guayaquil

Despite the language barrier, based on the catalogs of the products or through an interpreter, local and Chinese entrepreneurs  managed to communicate to make sales, build budgets and scheduling appointments, during the China Expo 2013 fair to be carried out in Guayaquil.

There is an exhibition of machinery and production equipment, which according Daniela Montesdeoca, Project director of the Chinese-Ecuadorian Chamber. They chose the country  because the government has promoted the change of the productive matrix and it was convenient to present their equipments to provide products made to improve quality.

Agroindustrial machinery, refrigeration, vehicles, pumps and generators were exhibited.

Montesdeoca indicated that in the business rounds conducted between Thursday and Friday there were 61 Chinese companies. Among them, Shangyu Foodstuff Xinye Machinery, which sells food freezing equipment.

Lulu Liang, head of the foreign trade of the company, said that it seems that Ecuador is a potential market, as an exporter of fruits, vegetables and seafood, all of which can be frozen for export. He added that they already have business with Peruvian and Colombian companies and want to expand into Ecuador.
