CNN ‘reveals’ that, Leonardo Dicaprio will get this year’s Oscar for best actor?

U.S. news agency CNN has filtered an image of a plate in which it is revealed that this year’s Oscar winner for Best Actor belongs to Leonardo DiCaprio for ‘The Wolf of Wall Street”.

The image, which is real and has already traveled the world through social networks, shows the plate with the following inscription: “Academy Award to Leonardo DiCaprio. Best Performance by an actor in a leading role. The wolf of Wall Street. 2013.”

However, a press release issued by the Academy in 2010, explained that they often create a plate for each nominee’s name, category, film title and year. After announcing the winners, the plates that were not used are recycled.

Which is why no one knows the winner until they open the envelope at the gala. And the plate is stamped subsequently.
