Colombia Renews Peace Talks with FARC Rebels

President of Colombia, Juan Manuel Santos confirmed that his government is maintaining exploratory talks with the country’s biggest rebel group, FARC.
Today Santos addressed the people Colombians to inform them about his “duty to seek peace.” Media reports stated that a deal on further talks was made in Cuba.
FARC has been at war with the Colombian government since 1964. Santos also pointed out that the second biggest rebel group, the ELN is also ready for talks. AV
