Competition for studies on dredging is ready

Guayaquil Port
Last Saturday the City Hall of Guayaquil began the public contest for the upgrade of the feasibility studies and design the access channel to the Marina docks in order to determine the dredging to a depth of 11 meters in the area between buoy Sea (Pacific Ocean) to the buoy 13, which includes the area known as Los Goles.
According to the City Hall, such studies involve dredging engineering, environmental impact and the terms of reference for the development of the work of dredging.
Studies to develop were hired by the Port Authority of Guayaquil (APG) with Geoestudios-Consulsua Association that were delivered last year.
The announcement was made after President Rafael Correa said last Tuesday that Mayor Jaime Nebot has the support to do this work.
Port issues expert, Cesar Palacios, said the dredging is necessary, primarily on buoys 8 and 12, a space rock that has never been dredged.
