Continuing disagreements in Quito’s airport
Mariscal Sucre Airport, located in the valley of Tababela in Quito continues to generate inconvenience to users, three months after starting operations.
Long distances, continuous transfers and flight delays are the main factors causing unrest among the passengers, who say they still can not get used to the remoteness of this terminal or the customer.
Several users say that despite its modern facilities and the safety of its track, the customer service is bad. In addition, the constant delays in departures and arrivals by bad weather causes overcrowding of users waiting rooms.
Quiport, concessionaire in charge of the terminal, said it will take time to adapt. He said that from Quito to Tababela is an hour and fifteen minutes, with traffic and climate, said that in the old airport and during the winter season closures also occurred many low visibility operations and even excessive presence of water in the track.
