The Regulatory Council of Communication (Cordicom for its Spanish acronym) yesterday announced its “concern” by the news coverage that “certain media” have been giving to the subject of safeguards.
The statement said “the treatment of information that have assumed certain media (…) induces a biased understanding of the economic decisions taken by the Ecuadorian State”.
According to the analysis by the Cordicom, both headlines of the notes as in the body of the news would be shown “speculative approaches without interest to deepen in explaining the scope of the measure, which according to official sources, only involves a third of 9% of total goods available on the market “.
