Correa inspects works in the Guayaquil-Isla Santay bridge

In order to verify the advances in the work; President Rafael Correa toured this Tuesday at midday the bridge that will join Guayaquil with Santay Island. This work is scheduled to be finalized until March.

About the touristic side of the island, the President said: “This is a bike path and there will be a  14 km route around the island with contemplation sections  (…), it will be able to go out from Duran, this means that people from Duran may come cycling to work , if they are working in Guayaquil, and get to the central-south zone of the city. “

This work covers 2,000 hectares of green areas from four cantons and has adapted for joining the sections that will pass over the Guayas River.

In addition to the bridge Guayaquil-Santay compound by 720 meters, it is also the Duran-Santay bridge with 718 meters.
