Former President Rafael Correa and his supporters have tried to break into a house from which they threw eggs while touring Vinces on Wednesday afternoon, January 24. It happened after the interview on Radio Paris, at about 5:00 pm, while advancing on Sucre Street, when some people threw eggs at him to go through the Carriel family building.
The Former President with microphone in hand stopped the march of the vehicle to get off and get into the house, as reported by the newspaper La Hora. In view of the fact that the incident was gaining strength, police officers had to intervene and clashed with members of Correa’s security, staging a street fight. Correístas Twitterers assure that there is a detainee, among those who accompany Correa.
Since Sunday, when a group of protesters threw eggs in Borbón, Esmeraldes province, hundreds of people, in Manabí and Los Ríos have thrown eggs to the truck in which Correa advances singing with a megaphone and dancing songs by the NO in the popular consultation convened by President Lenin Moreno.
The companions of Correa, who more than once have gone down to beat up those who insult them, also throw objects against the citizens from the truck. (I)
