Correa’s Supporters Gathered to Commemorate the 30S

Thousands of supporters of President Rafael Correa waved green flags on Friday in Quito to commemorate what they consider the “triumph of democracy” after the police revolt of September 30, 2010; facts that were considered by the president coup attempt with a balance of ten dead.
Ten thousand people attend the meeting according to Gamatv broadcast, Ecuador TV anchors said nearly two hundred thousand people are in the streets around the Tribune Shiri.
Ecuadorian singer based in Spain, Jesus Fichamba, sang on the stage of Shiri.
The events were called by the ruling party under the slogan “30S, the triumph of democracy.”
