Cristina Elizalde is the new Queen of Quito

Ecuador’s capital chose yesterday its new sovereign. Cristina Elizalde was crowned Queen of Quito after a Gala ceremony held at the National Theatre of the House of Culture.

Cristina, 23, and an architect by profession, is preparing to preside over the founding celebrations of this city. Besides her, Shirley Paez were designated as Miss Patronage, and Diana Pozo, Miss Fellowship.
